All of these activities can be completed in your books that were sent home in your home packs. Additionally, you still have access to Times Table Rock Stars and Mathletics for home maths learning.

There are two reading activities for you to do.
  1. Listen to the audiobook - Wyrmstooth Crown - Chapter 1
  2. Complete the Roald Dahl Reading Comprehension
Literacy

Describe the picture below using interesting verbs, nouns, adjectives and adverbs.
For example: stalking (verbs), eagle (nouns), majestic (adjectives), intimidatingly (adverbs)


Grammar

Your task is to recognise and correct grammar and punctuation errors. Use a pencil to fix the grammar and punctuation errors below. Consider commas, capital letters, quotation marks, apostrophes and full stops. You can do this in your exercise book by writing it out correctly.

julia lives in glasgow with her two best friends. Her favourite hobbies are ice skating horse riding singing dancing and swimming. she also likes to go to the theatre she went to see the Lion King in edinburgh and said it was the best show ive ever seen.

Spelling
Practise these words. Read them, say them and then write them in your exercise book.

  2. accompany
  3. according
  4. achieve
  5. aggressive
Now write a sentence for each word in your exercise book. Can you spell it correctly in each sentence without looking at the words?

Maths

If you have finished, then you can try the activity below:

The aim of this game is to match pairs of cards.
Click on a card in the interactive game to turn it over. Then click on another one.
If the two cards match, they will stay face-up.
If the two cards do not match, they will return to being face-down.
The game ends when all the cards have been matched in pairs.
How do you know when a card matches another card?
Can you remember where particular cards are to help you match the pairs?


Religious Education

Choose a religion which you would like to research, this can be your own religion. Find out as many facts as you can about this religion, including how it started and by whom. Where do the people worship and what religious book do they have?

Present your findings in a PowerPoint, booklet, poster, fact file or video. Choose the key facts you want to share – don’t create a huge list and make sure you understand the information you are going to share.
