To round off our topic on China and the Shang Dynasty Year 5 and 6 had a wow day. We can dressed in red or yellow and mixed up the classes but each group made their own oracle bone (which was used by kings to predict the future), some vegetarian spring rolls and examined replica artefacts to see what we could discover. Here are some pictures from our day.

Our Chinese Vistors- 29th November
As part of our theme on China and the Shang Dynasty we lucky to receive some visitors of Chinese heritage. They told us about the Chinese New Year, shared a traditional song, helped us pronounce some words in Mandarin and Cantonese. We were all given red envelops as this is a tradition and red is considered a lucky colour. Some of us even won a Chinese decoration because our pronunciation of words was so great.
